简介
表观遗传学(Epigenetics)研究不涉及DNA序列改变的可遗传基因功能变化。这种变化最常涉及影响基因表达调节的变化,包括DNA甲基化、组蛋白修饰、染色体重塑、非编码RNA调控、基因沉默、核仁显性、休眠转座子激活和性别相关性基因剂量补偿效应等。表观遗传调控在发育、衰老、免疫调节等生理过程,以及肿瘤、神经系统疾病、代谢性疾病等多种疾病的发生发展中发挥重要作用。例如,表观遗传对神经发育相关关键基因的调控是决定胚胎干细胞向神经细胞分化的重要调控机制。
