简介
蛋白酶（Protease）广泛分布于动物、植物和微生物中，其主要作用是催化蛋白质和多肽水解。蛋白酶对生物体起着重要作用，其活性受到严格的调节和控制，蛋白酶过量表达也会损害机体健康。蛋白酶和蛋白酶抑制剂共同参与调节机体的许多生理反应，例如人胰凝乳蛋白酶CTRC调节胰蛋白酶激活和水解的平衡、HIV-1蛋白酶在病毒复制中起重要作用、细胞外基质金属蛋白酶MT1-MMP突变影响骨组织发育等。蛋白酶是细胞健康和活力的关键因素，参与多种生理过程，如复制、转录、细胞增殖、分化、细胞外基质的重塑以及激素和生物活性肽的加工。蛋白酶与许多疾病有关，如癌症、阿尔茨海默症、关节炎、凝血障碍、过敏和感染。
